ABOUT ME

I’m Julie Dohoney, owner of The Place. Hair Studio. I’ve been doing hair since 2012. Before finding hairstyling, I graduated from SCSU with a BS in Therapeutic Recreation. After a few years in the field, I realize I am not a desk person. I'm a people person and an artist. Once I connected that with hair, there was no turning back.

I absolutely LOVE working behind the chair.  I specialize in lived in color. I'm all about embracing what you have and enhancing it to bring out your best self.

I love connecting with my clients. giving them the luxury experience but keeping things down to earth so clients feel "at home" in my suite. I definitely keep it real; sugar coating is not part of my vibe. I'm honest and truly care about you and the health of your hair, as a true "hairapist" should.
